Marie-Therese Junkerre Founder/CEO
Following a very successful and varied career in law spanning more than 20 years; Marie-Therese took the bold step of moving into the care sector in 2015. Her vision: to create a company providing holistic care services reminiscent of her experiences growing up in a community where the elderly were an integral and active part of society. She believes that by delivering care services to our seniors with the same love, tenderness and kindness that we do when caring for our family members, it is possible to enhance their quality of life.
A champion for senior citizens causes, Marie-Therese hosts annual events to raise awareness of issues, including: World Elder Abuse Day (15 June) Alzheimer’s Month (September) De-stigmatising Dementia Diabetes Awareness and many more. Marie-Therese leads our team of dedicated staff and is often seen enjoying music therapy sessions and playing croquet and other games with the residents. She frequently takes the residents on outings including carnival and other national events as well as lunches and tea parties at local hotels and restaurants, ensuring they retain their links with the community.
She loves working with seniors and spends time learning from them and members of our team about ways to improve the services we provide. If she’s not at one of our facilities you will find her with any one of our home care clients. Marie-Therese works closely with all team members to create a happy care home and home care communities. She feels inspired when she sees our company’s core values in action through our care teams.
